    Comments about Hands-Free Bug Screen:

The screen does not fully close. It probably needs another magnet between the middle (installed) and the top. At the moment there is a large opening above the middle magnet which remains open.

      Comments about Hands-Free Bug Screen:

We have a large dog door as part of our sliding glass door so a regular screen was not an option. This is the perfect answer for us and even when the dogs use it, it closes itself.

          Comments about Hands-Free Bug Screen:

I got the screen so that I could leave the back door to the yard open for my Chesapeake Bay Retriever to go in and out. I found that if she was "charging" out, she could bring it down so I had to add several more strips of industrial strength velcro to the top edges as pull applied to the tension rod released it several times despite the tightness I had achieved. Works better now.

            Comments about Hands-Free Bug Screen:

Good product. But I wish it was a little sturdier. Eventually the dogs, just doing what dogs do (running through at full speed, scratching at the door to get in) rip it enough that it's not effective any more. We have started taking it down when the dogs are left outside so they don't rip it while we are at work. This has helped a lot.

            • Home

            Comments about Hands-Free Bug Screen:

This screen easily fit and installed in the sliding door to our deck. The little children can push through it without breaking the screen as in the past. It's only problem is that the screen panels are wider at the bottom than the top so the magnets at the bottom closure overlap and don't meet to keep the screen closed or they meet sticking out and leaving a gap for bugs to come in because the screen there is wider than the top. The company sent two more magnets for us to add at the correct positions but noted that once we do that, the screen is no longer warranted.

              Comments about Hands-Free Bug Screen:

We had one last year...cheap and flimsy but it closed. This one is made with good quality screening but the fabric is so stiff it doesn't close easily. Last year's had magnets about every foot all the way down which helped guide and encourage the closure. This one has only two magnets....one at the bottom and one about 1/3 of the way up. We are thinking about taking the magnets off last year's screen to put on this one. I like the sturdiness and the easy installation...just wish the rest of the design was also high quality.

                Comments about Hands-Free Bug Screen:

The screen works as advertised. Needed to make adjustment to the velcro which is supposed to be attached to the door casing. It simply removed the paint and pulled off. It's necessary to "duck" your head down to get out since the top doesn't open wide enough. However, the dog uses it just fine, it allows breezes to enter, and keeps the bugs out. We live in the Nevada desert so I determined to keep a watch on the screen at all times when the door is opened (because of various critters in our area - and ease of access). I looked up to see a lizard casually climbing on the outside and half way up. I do not leave the room when this door is opened.
