In England, the gardening philosophy is simple: when something works, don’t change it. This natural jute garden twine is a perfect example. Made in England and sold in a patented, no-tangle tin since 1915, it’s softer, more pliable, and easier on plants than hardware store twine. A turn-of-the-century innovation that is just as useful today.

Comments about Greentwist Garden Twine:
There is no other twine for us! We use it for everything from tying up the peonies to tying up the beer can chicken. Its green color is the perfect camouflage in the garden and it is more durable than any other garden twine we've found. We don't need the rainbow colors, so far. The quantity of twine is an excellent value for the money. We even save the containers after they're empty to store other items, and because we like the attractive retro packaging.

Comments about Greentwist Garden Twine:
Great for throwing the can over an archway or trellis while holding the end of the string...worked very well for managing my clemetis and grapevines.

the twine is strong and usable. i like that it is green and blends in, but i wish there was a cutter on the can so that i didn't have to also have clippers close by.

Comments about Greentwist Garden Twine:
I was thrilled when I found that Gardener's Supply was offering the Nutscene Greentwist. I love this string, and not just in the garden. It is my "go to" whenever I need to secure something, both outside and inside my home. I love the self-feeding can to hold the string and keep the string from unwinding into a complete mess. However, I did learn to keep it put away in a cabinet after my kitten grabbed the end of the string and took off running through the house. She unwound countless feet of string before I figured out what was going on and put a stop to her little game.
My only request of Gardener's Supply would be that they would also offer a string refill option, so that I could recycle the can instead of having to repurchase it each time I needed to purchase string.

Beans climb up the string so easily. It blends in with the garden [color]. And, it is biodegradeble at the end of the season.
{A little known secret, it it excellant to tie around your leg for nighttime cramping in the leg & calves. Old remedy from my grandmother}

I use this product in so many ways I've lost count. I use it to string my tomato plants, to subdivide my raised bed, to tie down tomato plant sheets and covers at night, to restrain my day lilies and peonies, and this is just the start!
