I bought this to protect my bantam chickens from hawks. So far they have been safe, but it hasn't deterred the smaller birds that feed in the area, so I can hardly give it credit for the hawks. I was disappointed in the design and quality, but guess I'll give it a chance.

I purchased two of these owls to hang in our greenhouse after two song birds flew in and were unable to make it out in time. I have had these up in the greenhouse for three years now, and we have not had any additional bird deaths since !

At first glance this looked great, but once it was hung it went down hill quickly.
I attached it to a hanging planter pole using the supplied ring and swivel attachment.
1. The swivel attachment broke in 2 days.
2. I then tied it to the hanger using the ring. It ripped right through the grommet and was laying on the ground in 3 days later.
Instead, I purchased some reflective tape to replace this.
