Have used this product for years to keep woodpeckers from damaging the columns on front of our home. Gave this one to a friend who has gulls gathering on his roof. Not installed yet, but I think it will work.

I hung this owl on the back of our boat to keep the buzzards from roosting under the sun roof. It seems to have worked quite well but now they are sitting all over the rest of the boat and leaving their hard-to-clean droppings. I am ordering 2 more to hang at the top and the bow. Not sure why people had trouble with the swivel breaking...mine is subjected to high winds whirling it around on a regular basis and has not broken. The only reason it could blow away is if you don't tie it on tight enough.

We needed something to keep birds and varmints out of a flower bed. The blossoms were being eaten at a terrific rate. We thought this flashy owl, being hung on a shepherd's hook in the bed, would do the trick. The wind would constantly either run it down the hook to the ground, or completely lift it off. We found it any number of times clear across our lawn and into the neighbor's yard. We have stopped using it until we can secure it on the hook.

Did not deter birds from the area at all. I looked out the window and there were birds right beneath it.

So disappointed. Bought two owls to place around my blueberries in the hopes of being able to actually eat them. Alas, despite moving them around the birds ate every single berry!

I hung this owl at the corner of my porch and has it helped with being able to sit on the porch and not have to clean bird mess every single time! No more bird using the porch as a fly through zone or sitting on the furniture and railing!

Use to scare away birds from pulling up corn when it is germinating.

Use to scare sap suckers away from trees
