Comments about Additional Fruit Fly Lures, Set of 3:
The crackle glass pear container is very attractive. However, prep for the lures is messy & how to actually use the product is unclear. I'm not sure if I am even using it correctly. I have never seen dead fruit flies in the solution, but I think I see less of them around my fruit. It may have nothing to do with the product!

Comments about Additional Fruit Fly Lures, Set of 3:
I used these last summer along with the glass pear. I already purchased more of the lure for this summer. I always have fruit flies in the summer because the windows are open and I grow a lot of tomatoes for sauce. I probably had only 10% of my usual number of fruit flies. It did not seem like the lure was attracting more flies to the area, as some lures do. I have seen some reviews saying the lure didn't work for those writers and have wondered if they thought regular houseflies would be caught as well. Fruit flies are not the same as house flies.

A bit stinky to clean up, but not nearly as bad as having fruit flies over everything. Within a day or 2, my serious infestation had dissapeared.

Comments about Additional Fruit Fly Lures, Set of 3:
I use this product in our kitchen. Since we eat a lot of fruit we tend to get fruit flies during the warmer months. When used as directed, this product eliminates the pests! Also love the fact that it's non-toxic, since I keep it in it's decorative container on the counter.
Comments about Additional Fruit Fly Lures, Set of 3:
I would buy the fruit fly containers again but not the fruit lures they are too smelly & messy aplle cider vinegar & a drop or two of dish soap works as well witn out the mess & smell. The containers would look nice any where

Aound here they last about 2 months. When I bring home a bag of dog food I bring home a new family of weevils.. They love my gluten free corn grits also.
Best product I've found to attract the pests. Upon opening the lure, the swarm is like watching the bees descend on a hummingbird feeder.

Comments about Additional Fruit Fly Lures, Set of 3:
We compost most all kitchen waste as we are mostly vegetarian. I used a short drinking glass with plastic wrap tight over the top. Poked a few holes with a toothpick and voila! The little fruit flies go to this right next to the compost container, fly in and drown trying to get to the fruity food smell. I've tried diluted honey, even added pureed fruit scraps but this is better and more effective. Definately wil buy throughout the summer here in southern CA.
