Solar Bells are based on time-tested glass garden cloches, but they're made of clear plastic instead of glass. That means they're portable, stackable, and much more affordable. And they're sturdy enough to protect against wind and pests as well as cold.

Comments about Solar Bells, Set of 3:
I used them to set out seedlings that still need warmth. They get a head start in the ground, but are protected from cold nights and hungry slugs. The adjustable vents are great. I open them during the day and close at night or during heavy rain. I like them because they are so light. Glass cloches are heavy, expensive and don't have the vents. It's true that they are somewhat fragile, but with careful handling, they should last several seasons.

Comments about Solar Bells, Set of 3:
Have not had the chance to use them yet. It is winter here. I want to plant Lavender in my border. I ordered them to protect them next winter. I live at 5,000 feet in Colorado and our weather can swing very much in the winter. I want to protect the Lavender and my Rosemary plant.

Comments about Solar Bells, Set of 3:
They are just as effective as the heavey glass ones, but these are easier to move and store. Plus I like the vent at the top.

Comments about Solar Bells, Set of 3:
Sometimes a strong breeze can tumble these bells over but we came up with a work around. We carefully drilled small holes in the horizontal edge so we could put ground stakes through the rim allowing us to pin them to the ground.
It would be very nifty if you would also offer a junior size for us lanai gardeners. My cats will chow down on sprouting cat grass before the grass has a chance to grow!

Comments about Solar Bells, Set of 3:
I can put plants into the garden much earlier, also after starting from seeds, I can plant in a biodegradible pot and keep the plants on my patio with solar bells to protect them from the cold until the ground warms up enough to go into the garden, then for extra transitional help for a week or two. Opening up the vents for daylight prevents overheating.

Comments about Solar Bells, Set of 3:
Wow, sorry to say disappointed in the durability of this product. Way over priced. These are nothing more than cheap light-weight plastic. Not even sure they will hold up for one season.[...] for the price paid they are just not worth it. I was hoping to have them last but I don't think they will hold up very well. :(
