The light output is fantastic, but there are a few design shortcomings that others have mentioned and I have some ideas for easy fixes that work well for me! Use black duck tape to force the electrical cord to the point where it will NOT cause the relector to dip by taping the cord to the vertical post. Next, I found that if I similarly tape the on/off switch in the same manner, it is MUCH easier to use. Another complaint is the joining cable for the 2 bulbs. This cable is designed to go to the OUTSIDE of the vertical post. Try to fit it on the opposite side if it doesn't work. One side is definitely better than the other! It works great with a timer, too.

Easy to assemble tabletop growlight fits perfectly on a small table. Miniature and semi-miniature african violets seem to be thriving (have had set up about three weeks). A very good way to brighten a dark corner. Looking forward to getting a second unit for either small orchids and/or starting seedlings for next year's garden. Nothing negative to report at this time. Quite happy with this product.

I am new to growing so I am using for indoor seed starting. Made the mistake the first time & did not get seedlings in light quick enough. This time I did not make the same mistake & the difference really shows.

I can't believe I put this grower together quickly. I use heirloom seeds and this is the best for starting my plants on a small kitchen counter. It was so easy to maintain and fun to watch each day when I came home from work.

I enjoy watching the plants grow from seed and it is good to get a jump start on spring. My tomato seed grew quickly into nice plants. We now have them in the garden. I also plan to grow lettuce and herbs under the lights to use next winter.

I am able to grow things that I cannot find for sale in my area. I can grow 4 plants instead of having to buy 6 in a flat.I can grow plants that require a longer growing season than Northern New England traditionally allows us. Plus I can actually watch things grow in March when it seems that winter will never go away!!!!

The system for keeping the plants watered is excellent. It is easy to fill and maintains a constant level of moisture without overwatering. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

In the past I have always had to fill any sunny windowsill with pots, but with this propagator I am able to put it in a rather dark corner and know that the plants are getting enough light. I had no great problems putting it together even though I'm not a handywoman. And it is such a thrill to see the wavery little shoots emerging. I would have appreciated a little more growing information in the instructions.

I bought one of these last year and used it to start herb, flower, and vegetable seeds before the growing season. I wanted more space, so this year I bought another one, and now I also grow greens and herbs year-round. I also start tender bulbs with this kit. The water tray has sufficient capacity that I can go away for up to a week and everything is sufficiently watered. I have the plugs on a timer, so I easily control the amount of light the plants get. This product is outstanding.
