This was a gift for my wife. At this price she would never buy it for herself. Once they arrived I was happy to find a piece of true American craftsmanship and not some build it as cheap as possible. I bought a large and a small. As another critic said they are larger than they appear in the pictures. If you grow melons, cabbage, or lettuce, buy a large because the handle is rigid and does not move side to side. For small tomato and pepper gardens a small will do fine.

Bought this as a gift for our Son in Law, and he Loves it! It is so well constructed, and allows for him to wash the veggies before bringing them in the house. Although it been used over an entire gardening season, I am confident that it will hold up to our South Texas Summers.

In my large garden, I use two. Sturdier veggies go in first, and tomatoes and thin-skinned varieties go on top of each hod. This is the fourth one I have purchased. My kids seem to find need for them and they disappear as if by magic!

I've used my garden hod for several years and just gifted another one to my sister. Mine gets used every time I pick, wash and bring in produce. Love it!
Also, I am an artist. I share my excess harvest with others who attend my painting workshop, bringing the tomatoes, peppers, beans, squash etc in my Gardeners Supply garden hod. Very often people comment on what a great still-life painting the hod and fresh veggies would make. It is a beautiful object which shows lovely design and quality workmanship.
