I put these randomly in my garden and they add a sense of whimsy better than anything else I have tried. I always am on the prowl for unusual items and rarely buy items that alot of people have.

I was impressed by how sturdy these are made when they arrived - especially because they are intended as a gift. They look like they will hold up well in the Florida Sun. The down side...the colors are not vibrant as I had hoped they would be. The green chicken (Duke), looks like he's painted in army fatigue colors. Not in any way cute. If I had time, I would have returned them for the other pair.

The reason for buying was that I grew up on a farm with chickens and this takes me back in time!

We painted the chickens with polyurethane to protect it from irrigation and the Florida sun. FAb!!

I LOVE the Funky Chickens! Although I haven't purchased any for myself, I have purchased nine, (yes, 9) Funky Chickens this summer for gifts!!! The recipiants have all called upon receiving their "chicken shipment" and been thrilled! Due to family memories, these chickens bring smiles and delight to my relatives! I will be ordering myself a brood soon.

These are really cute and I would recommend them. Like all such steel yard art, you will need to coat these with polyurethane if you don't want them to rust. I didn't feel this was a drawback as most things you put out in the yard (terracotta pots, concrete decorations, etc.) need to be treated if you want them to hold up for any period of time.
