Comments about Fruit Fly Traps, Set of 2:

This is the most effective way to manage pesty little fruit flies and I've used for quite a few years. I have the soap stone covered/vented container to put the fly trap in and it's very unobtrusive on the countertop near my fruit basket. This is a must-have!

Comments about Fruit Fly Traps, Set of 2:

So we've had a fly problem for quite some time now. We put this in the kitchen and followed all the directions which were fairly simple. It has been a month since we put it out and I think our fly situation feels worse. I don't think it has gotten rid of any flies. It seems more effective to leave a semi empty beer bottle. Save your money.

Comments about Fruit Fly Traps, Set of 2:

I'm wondering if the low ratings given by some of the reviewers were because they didn't puncture the holes in the traps?! Many said the flies were attracted to the trap but acted like they didn't go in! Gotta puncture the holes with the included white stick...it works wonders!
This product is a Godsend! I am by no means a clean freak (in fact, my friends would laugh at that statement and give a hearty AMEN as well)...I have fruit and veggies on the countertop because I have a kitchen garden out my back door and have, in the past, had horrible, embarrassing swarms of fruit flies invading my kitchen. After purchasing, AND PUNCTURING the trap, and putting it in it's pretty soapstone container, NO MORE FRUIT FLIES!!! In fact, I'm back to order more traps since we are at the beginning of the season and want to head those buggars off before they get a foothold in my house! I cannot say enough good things about these traps...and they last a LONG time too!
I've given them as gifts...I'm just hoping my friends and family punched the holes out in the top of the traps! :-) The flies have to have a way to get in!!! Then...they die! Yay!

I don't have a problem, as a rule. However, in the warmer weather with more fruit peels in the compost bucket by the sink, sometimes I get a few and these take care of the problem really fast. In the little soapstone containers, they look nice too. :)

I try to have fresh produce on hand both from the store and my garden. We often have different produce on the counter. Fruit flies used to be a concern. Not any more, these traps work great!
