Comments about French Door Screens:
Didn't want to put up screen doors, because kids & dogs will be coming in-out the door from pool to get to the lavatory; door would be slammed, hands would push the screens out of the doors. This low-cost option was my first attempt to keep the bugs out. It works. Flying bugs out, kids & dogs in and out. Better yet, without door frame, it merges the outdoors with the in. Love throwing the French doors open and feeling the breeze, looking out at the pool, and not having to swat at flies and mosquitoes.
Do wish it had come with more clips to hold the tension rod up - additional clips for each end would do the trick, reducing the need to adjust it as it slides down a bit from time to time.

We use the product on the french doors to our patio. We were unable to find screen doors to fit that the pets could use. This was the perfect choice for us.

Comments about French Door Screens:
I have purchased the single door screens before and loved them (I use the screens in lieu of a doggy door). I ordered a French door screen and had to return it because the width was too wide resulting in buldging, which did not look good.
I ended up purchasing a "special order" screen from the mfr listed in the box I received. For an additional $20.00 it fits perfectly and the dogs love it.
Gardeners supply customer service was wonderful, they sent me a return label and have credited my account.

Comments about French Door Screens:
I have purchased this product years ago but when our puppy started chewing the bottom and sides of the screen it looked shabby. I have been searching for months to find another like it and was pleased to find it in a your magazine!
I love the tension rod. Other similar products use velcro strips but they tend to come off. the screen is great for keeping the flying insects out!

Comments about French Door Screens:
I have two french patio doors that don't have screens. I wanted something that would keep the bugs out and still let me walk through the door. This screen is GREAT! IT does the job. We still have an occasional mosquito, but the majority of the bugs stay outside. The screen is well made and is hardly noticeable too.

- Large Coverage Area

Comments about French Door Screens:
Picture does not truely depict product. Information about product does not tell you that the opening is not in the middle of the screen, so when you have double french doors, it only opens on 1 door. Only 1 magnetic strip on the lower half is not enough, if the magnet does not close properly together, it leaves a gap at the top half and bugs get in.If door is not specifically the right measurement, the bottom strip gaps at the bottom, letting bugs in.
Pros
- Easy To Use
- Reduces Number Of Pests
Cons
- Ineffective
- Low Quality

Comments about French Door Screens:
I wanted a screen for my french doors and hoped this fit the bill, without breaking the bank. I put it up for a few hours & it damaged the door sill. I didn't attached the velcro as a try out, so I'm sure that would've helped but the magnets never seemed to line up right to close. The screening is very thick & plasticky, and I wasn't thrilled about permanently installing velcro closures on our new door frame. I think I'll go with a more permanent & expensive solution. For the trouble it would've caused with our woodwork having it up all summer with two dogs and frequent uses, I returned it.

- Portable
Cons

Comments about French Door Screens:
This screen does not stay attached. It needs more magnets and the magnets used are not strong enough to pull together when you go in and out. You have to reattach each time you enter and exit. The screen does not fit the French door as advertise...which I think adds to the problem for the magnets. I would not buy this again!!!!
Pros
Cons
- Difficult To Use
- Doesn't over lap enough
- Ineffective
- Not enough magnets

Comments about French Door Screens:
It is easy to hang, but won't close without help, not enough magnets. Rod is to thin bends easy. I wish I had not spent my hard earn money on this. I think a single door it might work OK, but not on double doors. It is just to wide for the weight. When it is closed up and no one is walking in and out it does keep bugs out. So I am leaving it up when grandchildren are not here.

Comments about French Door Screens:
Not as effective as the single door, due to the amount of area it has to cover. Could do with one or maybe two more magnets. Dogs tend to push it open and it is not heavy enough to snap shut every time. A great improvement in the number of bugs excluded, bearing in mind we leave the doors open all day for the dogs to come and go. Initial reaction by the dogs was deep suspicion!
