I have used a number of products for the same uses and Foam Ties have proven to be the best all-around product. I use Foam Ties for securing tomato vines and for connecting tall flowers to stakes. I also use them for: securing coiled hoses; for tying up used Foam Ties; and for similar requirements for securing like objects.

I had used old panty hose for a "soft" tie for tomatoes and other vines but, sometimes they sagged as the plant got heavy putting the fruits on the ground. But, the foam ties are soft and strong without cutting into plants. Love them and can reuse them year after year.
