When Native Americans sowed their crops, they didn’t use tractors or plows. To keep valuable seed from blowing away or being eaten by birds, they often hid it inside little balls of clay. The same method works well today: just scatter these seed balls on prepared soil and water well. Handmade in the USA by a company that employs persons with disabilities. Seeds will germinate in 7 to 30 days after planting.

Comments about Flower Seed Balls:
Gift to daughter and grandaughters. They plant flower seeds each year and have such success that I thought they would have fun with these!

Comments about Flower Seed Balls:
I gave one bag of seed balls to a friend for Christmas and have one bag for my own use. I am hoping the results for both of us will be to attract more birds to our gardens, as well as to enjoy the colorful flower varieties for show. Once the perennials are established, they should provide visual delight for many years to come. It was interesting to read in the flower description that the native Americans have been planting this way for ages - how creative!

Comments about Flower Seed Balls:
As I got these in the late fall/earlywinter, we'll have to wait on Mother Nature and the seed balls "doing their thing" in being fragrant, hardy and healthy.

I bought this for a gardener as a gift for hosting Christmas and was embarrassed at how little it was. Cute package but very small.

Comments about Flower Seed Balls:
I bought these packets as Christmas gifts for other people. When they arrived, I couldn't give them away. I just needed them. We have a large lawn that I mow. We decided to convert a portion to field. I cannot wait to throw these flower balls in the field and see what grows. Thank you.

Comments about Flower Seed Balls:
I used the seed balls as part of a class project for my middle school students. They thought the seed balls were "cool". The seeds have begun sprouting and the students are waiting impatiently to see what types of flowers will appear.
