Comments about Floating Rain Gauge:
I would welcome any suggestions as to how it is supposed to measure rainfall. Do you take the styrofoam out of the tube? If not, how does it work? So far mine does not measure rain at all.

Comments about Floating Rain Gauge:
I was very excited when it came in and put it in the backyard right away. After the first rain I went to see how much rain we had gotten and the measure tube had not moved even though we had gotten 1.5" of rain. I thought perhaps I didn't seat it in properly, so I took it out and tried it again. It rained yesterday and it didn't move again. Also, it's hard to empty . . .

Comments about Floating Rain Gauge:
We had over 6 inches of rain in two days but never once did the blue tube move like it should have it worked with water displacement. The water just dropped into the container with no displacement whatsoever of the blue tube. Very disappointed.

Comments about Floating Rain Gauge:
We tried everything, but it would not work. The blue floating cylinder just
stayed in the tube. While it looked good in the garden, it is very poorly
constructed.

Comments about Floating Rain Gauge:
Should have paid attention to the other reviews. I understand water displacement but we had over 6 inches of rain in two days and the blue insert never budged. So disappointed. What a total waste of money.

Merchant response: The Styrofoam stays in the tube, it's what floats to indicate rainfall. Make sure the gauge is in an open, unhindered location for an accurate reading. Customer Service would be happy to help if you have any other questions, please call 1-800-876-5520.
