We had some brutally hot days this summer, but my dogs still prefer to be outside while I am at work. They have a dog house and shady trees, but the mister really gave me piece of mind that they could cool down. My lab laid under it for hours! It was nice for people too, but the mist isn't quite fine enough to prevent you from getting slightly damp. Gave one to my parents for their deck too.

- Misting My Shade Plants
Beware this does contain cancer causing materials, it is disclosed on the packaging. I bought this as a help for my shade plants that are getting burned by the sun, due to some trees that were cut back and it's been so hot here in So. Cal. I move it every few minutes so it can get misted properly. But it's expensive ([$]) and very short in length. We wrapped it around the umbrella pole at the top and it was great on a very hot summer day a few weeks ago just to sit outside but it's ackward as you have the short piece and then a long garden hose attached. So depending on what you want it for and how you hook it up, you may like this or not.

This colorful mister needs more weight at the bottom so that the pressure of water doesn't tip it over. Because it is so flexible, it unwinds itself when place around a support. I hope the manufacturer corrects these defects because the idea and basic quality are terrific.
