I have this product in front of my house and the hubby adjusted the downspouts so I have fresh rainwater at all times pouring into it. The screen keeps out varmits and I added a section of hose to direct water into the back of the one garden area.

Purchased for a flower bed that is inconvenient for hose watering. It fits the area perfectly, was easy to level and filled during our first rain after installation with NO LEAKS. I like the bottom port and the higher spigot. Don't like the location of the overflow (in the front), but I'm using a diverter.

I had trouble mounting the lower nipple into the barrel. I bought two of these. On one the screen fit nice and snug. On the second one the screen sets loose, so I had to devise a grommet to help it stay in snug.

My new rain barrel is now full of water from recent rains and the plastic has bowed out, pushing the "flat backed" barrel away from the wall and away from the gutter that is its water source. Additionally, the bottom valve leaks sufficiently that the wooden platform on which it stands is green and slick. I would not buy this product again.

The flat back allows us to place the barrel against the house. This makes it easier to collect cooler water from the Master Cool on the roof. It takes up less space.

when barrel is full, the back bulges out, warps the shape of the top opening and the screen falls in... the barrel must be braced against the building to avoid this and then my downspout overshoots the opening. lower hose spout was very difficult to screw in; upper spout leaks. had to raise the barrel to at least 18 inches to get the water pressure needed to use lower hose connection. the barrel fills very quickly with just single rain storm and water off one side of my one car garage.

the only thing needed is a hose that is smaller in length,a typical 25' is too long for water pressure. sell a 10' hose and the package is complete. for now I use the spout and just fill watering can.

This really looks nice against the house and is perfect under the gutter downspout. The barrel fills up much quicker than expected and we had a few overflows but it's nice to know all this water isn't going to waste. The two spigots work well, one for filling a watering can and the other with a hose. The lower spigot was delivered cracked but Gardener's Supply promptly sent us a replacement and the new one is working quite well.

The concept of a rain barrel is excellent. We have a small vegetable garden and this rain barrel is used to water it via a home made drip hose. As an example, however, of poor quality, excessive plastic (from the moulding process) was covering the openings or the two spigots (upper and lower) necessitating that this excessive plastic be drilled out or broken off by using a long iron pipe and hammer because they covered the outlets clogging the flow of water out of the barrel. I would suggest, to the manufacturer, that the barrel should be thoroughly inspected and, where necessary, properly finished, internally, to avoid these clogging issues encountered by the purchaser. I cannot recommend this item since too much had to be done to finish cleaning up the molding slop (internal) of the unit so that it would work correctly.

I can't really totally review we just installed it but haven't used it to water the garden etc. yet. So far so good, we like it.
