Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
This really looks nice against the house and is perfect under the gutter downspout. The barrel fills up much quicker than expected and we had a few overflows but it's nice to know all this water isn't going to waste. The two spigots work well, one for filling a watering can and the other with a hose. The lower spigot was delivered cracked but Gardener's Supply promptly sent us a replacement and the new one is working quite well.

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
The concept of a rain barrel is excellent. We have a small vegetable garden and this rain barrel is used to water it via a home made drip hose. As an example, however, of poor quality, excessive plastic (from the moulding process) was covering the openings or the two spigots (upper and lower) necessitating that this excessive plastic be drilled out or broken off by using a long iron pipe and hammer because they covered the outlets clogging the flow of water out of the barrel. I would suggest, to the manufacturer, that the barrel should be thoroughly inspected and, where necessary, properly finished, internally, to avoid these clogging issues encountered by the purchaser. I cannot recommend this item since too much had to be done to finish cleaning up the molding slop (internal) of the unit so that it would work correctly.

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
We are using this to catch and use the runoff from our house to water our vegetable garden and flowerbeds. Our bill really crept up this summer. It is very attractive and easy to set up. We were disappointed though that we could not leave it out during our cold KY winters.

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
This barrel looks terrific against my house, even though I am in a city. I used to live in the country and barrels were a common site in the old days. This barrel takes up very little space compared to a full barrel, and with it being so light, when empty, it is easy to move around. Another plus: being plastic, it won't rot as the wooden barrels do after a time. I didn't care for the looks of the top spigot, so I replaced it with a plastic, gold colored one and it looks pretty snazzy. I did have leaks at both spigots, but, using more pipe-tape, I fixed them. It would be even nicer if the top lifted up so we could dip the watering can inside when the barrel is full instead of using the spigots. Hint, hint!! How about a price break on buying two or more units??? +JMJ+

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
I love this! I think the screen is a great idea at keeping bugs and mosquitoes out, which is very important. It came in so handy this summer with the dry months, that I wished I had a second and had them attached to each other for when we had big rainfalls to conserve more water for later. I think that will be an investment for next year. I just hope it survives the winter, b/c you can't get all the water out of the very bottom, so it will freeze. I also love the flat back, makes it much easier to store against a wall

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
This rain barrel is nice with it's dark faux wood color, flat-side design, mid-level faucet spout and lower situated hose spout. It was simple to adapt the rain downspout to empty onto the barrel top area. Sometimes however with a hard rain, the screen will be pushed aside from the flow of water. Also, I did apply a sealant to the area around the hose connector spout to stop water from leaking but it was not a difficult adjustment. Overall, I am very pleased with this product.

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
I use my flat back rain barrel on a side of my house where I do not have a hose connection. This provides enough water for my pumpkin plants and other flowers on that side of the house
