Our newest rain barrel is made of rugged polyethylene, colored and textured for a natural-wood look. It holds 50 gallons, yet snugs right up to a house or garage, thanks to its clever, flat-back design. Improved solid brass spigot is now offset from hose attachment, allowing you to fill any size watering can without awkward maneuvering.

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
I'm closing out the rain barrel for the season so I thought I would write a review. This is my second season for container vegetable gardening and the first with the rain barrel. This year was better than last, so next year should be my year. We had our handyman set the rain barrel up on a rain barrel stand and set up a down spot connector. I recommend both. Everything worked like a charm. No leaks at all. Not sure if the screen was supposed to just sit on the top or snap in. But it didn't effect performance. Now, I just have to figure out how to use the water supply more efficiently.

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
Even though the barrel does become slightly "bloated", and will move away from the house because of the weight of the water, I STILL bought a second one. Now, I'm saving 50% of the rainwater that falls on my house & the plants in the flowerbeds LOVE it! PLUS, the water meter does NOT go around when I'm watering my plants!

The bottom spigot leaks, no two ways about it.

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
I had a contractor install it because I don't have tools and he said it was easy. It's working very well, filled quickly during H. Irene, and overflow valve did its job in a stream, not a gusher. Limited bulging when full. I thought it would look a little, er, ugly (plain tan color) next to my house, but it's kind of cool in that "I'm a rain barrel" way. Love the water container spout for use when the barrel is full. Only had to lift it 3-4" off the ground with treated plywood to stabilize and access/use the hose fitting easily - benefit as I wanted the barrel installed under a window and it fit with 3" to spare. Very happy with this barrel!

This was just the product I needed to collect rain water for watering my garden. I love the faucet feature.

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
I really like this rain barrel. I use it under my rain chain. I did have a slightly difficult time putting in the spigot on the bottom. There is a small hole in one of the parts on the side to hook up a 2nd barrel. It isn't too bad and it is at the very top so it only leaks when it is full to the brim. The flat back is nice with the straight down path of the rain chain. Overall, I am very happy with this barrel.

Comments about Flat-Back Rain Barrels:
I bought one barrel last year and ordered another this year. Not sure why the faucet is offset, plus the new one doesn't have the side rain guage. It's OK because they are on opposite sides of the house but I like the old style better.

The product was exactly as advertised. I would buy another one if I decide I need it.
