Amaryllis make a delightful, festive holiday gift. The bold and beautiful flowers are preceded by a month of anticipateion as stems
slowly emerge and buds gradually open. "Firecracker" is a dwarf variety that produces full size, 6-8" blooms at half the normal height
(just 14- 18" tall). This miniature variety is perfectly proportioned to the keepsake pot
Each bulb will produce a minimum of eight 4-6" blossoms

I had the amaryllis sent to my daughter and her family. We love to send gifts that can be grown or eaten, as they have so darn much "stuff" already. But best of all, the little boys are fascinated to watch the bulb send up shoots and the plant emerge, followed by the flowers. They learn something, at the same time the house is cheered up during a Pittsburg winter.
