Comments about Felco 6" Folding Saw:
I bought a house 8 years ago and the landscaping needed a lot of work. The holly bushes were trees, some as tall as the house. There was little to no foliage or branches on the lower part of the "trees". A professional told me they were "not well". I've spent considerable time pruning back most of the new top growth each year until there was little upwards new growth. I cut the trees back to well below the roof line and trimmed away dead limbs. Lo and behold the trees have sprouted new growth lower down and at ground level. They are looking less like tall Bonsai holly and closer to actual bushes. The new growth is healthy and the upper older growth is starting to die back. This saw is perfect for removing all that older dead holly.

Pruning is a perfect chore for late-winter and early spring because most trees and shrubs are dormant. What's more, it's the time of year when there are few gardening tasks on your list.
