For a permanent structure like a fence, arbor or trellis, you need a material that will retain its strength and good looks over time. This faux bamboo is an excellent choice. Made of plastic-coated steel, the 59" poles are rot and mildew resistant, and will always maintain their original honey color.

Comments about Faux Bamboo, Set of 12:
I put the A- frame together, then attached vegetable netting (not included). I attempted to use it for a variety to vegetables last year- squash, melons, cucumers, beans. The vegetables did not want to grow up it and required alot of training. The frame is VERY flimsy. I even staked it to the ground, but if you barley touch it it begins to lean. The best thing about it was being able to plant lettuce inside the A-frame while the other vegetables were starting from seeds. The materials do seem durable. Read the fine print- many "extras" to buy.

I've purchased these before. These are so handy and easy to use. Originally purchased them to train my clematis vines. But now I use them to support so many other veggies and flowers.

Using with the swivel clips. If the ridges on the faux bamboo were a bit more pronounced the clips would work better (i.e., no slip under heavier loads).

I used it to fence my raise bed with heavy duty deer net. It works better than real bamboo they split at the end after one year. [...]

Comments about Faux Bamboo, Set of 12:
Easily set up as a trellis and cover with netting. The cucumbers are making their way up the netting. Durability is the question- this is the first year of use and I would expect this product to last a number of seasons. Time will tell.

Comments about Faux Bamboo, Set of 12:
These lightweight poles are heavyweight garden supports. With the connectors or just garden twine, they last longer than wood or natural bamboo and look great. I use them to drape bird netting over my ripening fruit and vegetables to keep away the hungry birds.
