Gave these as a gift last year. Just found out that they never worked. Person was afraid to tell me! Sorry she didn't since I would have returned them!

I love the design and, if they are indoors, with a light shining on them and then the light is shut off, they will glow, but I cannot get them to glow in my gardens outside which are in direct sun all day long.

Mine hang in sunny windows because we have so many trees and storms, I was afraid they'd be broken outside. My mother has her on the porch. They're a nice touch inside or out.

Very attractive hanging from a tree at night where it get plenty of sunlight by day. Even prettier set shining over a pond.

I have them in the front yard in the sun most of the day, at least 6 hrs., but they don't glow at night. Maybe they will do better in the winter.

We tried hanging the, from low tree branches and quickly found out that they needed much more sunlight that they were getting. Once we moved them out into the sunlight for most of the day, they glowed for a short time in the evening. But, by the time it was dark enough to appreciate them, they were no longer glowing.

I gave several of the swirls as gifts and kept some for my backyard garden. They do NOT glow. I was embarrassed to have given a gift that does not live up to it's expectations. We all followed the directions and were greatly disappointed.
