I bought the filters to use with the kitchen apple composter and it seems to work well as far as absorbing odors. I do rinse it when i empty the crock and put contents into the compost bin. I have only been using this about 2-3 weeks, so we'll see how each filter works.

Theses filters for compost pails are not available in any hardware store even Lowe's. So glad I could find them in the correct size.
