- Easy to move
- Limited Noise Factor
Cons
- Limited Capasity
- Slow operation
Best Uses
- Small Straight Branches
I got this to replace a humongous gas powered chipper shredder that cost twice what this one did and just got too hard to deal with. I gave my new little electric one its first workout today on woody rose canes from an out of control climber.
It chipped the woody stuff and the green stuff without complaint and minimal jamming so long as I hand trimmed everything into straight sections. It broke down even most of the thorns.
I can see my compost breaking down with record speed with this easy to haul out and use piece of equipment.
Unjamming is simple but feeding more than a few branches into the letter slot sized feed was slow and relatively tedious. That is compensated for, tho, by how effortless it is to start up and the nifty little "pusher" that very effectively forces things thru when necessary. I DO miss the large hopper feed on my old big time chipper shredder but not really anything else about it and I suspect I'll use this more frequently since it's so completely non-intimidating and easy to use.
This is a tool for small gardens and possibly older gardeners but I'm ready to let the larger branches go out in the trash or thru multiple cycles of the compost pile and enjoy more leisurely gardening at this point in my life. If you're in a similar state of mind, I really recommend this machine.

- Chipping Up Small Limbs
I got this so we didn't have to burn or haul off a lot of small limbs that have fallen off our trees. It worked great! I am amazed at the amount of wood chips you get from a lot of limbs (not much). We spread the chips back under the trees to mulch. This chipper was easy to assemble and got to work right away. Only bummer was the rubber grip on the handle was ripped when we opened the box, but it doesn't affect how the machine works.

Pros
- Easy to use
- Efficient
- Portable
Cons
- Poor instructions
Best Uses
- Small Dry Twigs
I use it to clean up small branches that fall or I prune. It is really easy to use and I am impressed by the way it chips things up. The instructions are poor, so you need a little imagination to figure things out especially how to attach the chip holding bag. Otherwise I think it is a great little machine and a great help to recycle dried up small branches and twigs.
