Our heavy-duty Earth Staples come in several styles:
- Regular Earth Staples hold garden covers or plastic mulches securely in place.
- 10-in. Extra-Tall Earth Staples sink deeper in the ground for anchoring trellises, wire composters and faux rocks.
- Easy-Out Earth Staples have a handy loop on top for quick removal.
- Rubber Earth Disks make our Regular and Easy-Out Earth Staples easier to remove and help prevent fabric from tearing.

We're on our second year of a raised-bad garden 4x48, and these anchor the landscape cloth, and the row-cover very well. With the spring winds in Texas, anchoring is important!

This works well with staples to secure plastic or landscaping fabric. It keeps the fabric from tearing and can be reused over and over. Mine have lasted for years.

I always took these Earth Staples for granted until I tried a cheaper version from a major home store chain. Compared to the Earth Staples, the others were flimsy--they bent easily if they came in contact with a rock when I was putting them into the ground. The only downside of the Earth Staples is that they're silver, so they're noticeable against the brown rubber edging. But I've found that if I color the tops with a brown permanent marker after I hammer them in, they blend in very well.

These Easy Out Earth Staples worked well, lasted more than 1 season (other staples that I bought at a hardware store rusted after 1 season and had to be thrown away). I used these along with the Earth Disks which made them very easy to pull out. Earth disks may have also helped to keep the Weed Mat from fraying.

These are so much better than the ground staples my neighbor picked up at the local big box hardware. They go into the ground easily (as long as I miss the rocks in the bed), even tolerate hammering in. I'm pleased.
