I confess to only daring to keep the earth globe in my backyard, because it is so beautiful I don't want to take a chance on it getting stolen. This is the second one I have bought because it is so eye catching and surprisingly durable.

Since I placed this in a section of my garden that does not get much sunlight; I placed the globes on PVC pipes (painted green) that I secured into the ground and wired and connected to my 12 volt outdoor lighting system. The globes are beautiful in the day and the night garden. I really enjoy their beauty. I enjoy them from my outdoor dining table as well as my family room sliding glass doors.

Put it in my front yard with rocks and other garden items. Really looks beautiful.
Only negative would be is that it does not sit properly when winds whips around the corner of my lot. Fell off stand into rock bed. Did not break however (this time).

We mounted this on a post out in the garden and it looks terrific! The glow is soft and the countries of the world look "other worldly". In reading the cons, of course it could be stolen, but that depends on where you put it and how your neighborhood is. We plan to enjoy this one for years - if you are looking for a bright light, this is not it - it is not solar powered and only lasts a couple of hours

I used one on top of a metal pole that was hollow inside. The other one placed it in the middle of different statues of children (it was on a small stand).
I found that out of the three 1 was had alots of lumious particals and the others less. The land masses were shaped wrong on one (may be because it had vary little particals).

I placed the globe in the stand in my front yard flower bed. My only regret is that I didn't get two. I'm out in my back garden more, so I sometimes miss the after dark show.
