        I have the whole set of animals and used them for centerpieces at an outdoor party. They were a hit. Hard to put in some veggies like small gourds. Cantaloupe was too soft and it fell apart. Cantaloupe and watermelon attracted flies. Eggplant, mango, butternut squash, large and small cabbage, zucchini, and pumpkin work well. Will also try turnips and acorn squash sometime.

            Overgrown zucchini has decorative use--who'd have thought!? These metal critter parts (I bought all the animal sets over the past 3 years) make creative family entertainment. Good photo ops while grandkids (even the 16 yr. old) and their parents had a great time making creatures using various squash, watermelon(pig), and an eggplant(kitty). Unique centerpieces for the picnic table and around the terrace walls.
