Exclusive | Dual-Batch Compost Tumbler Has Two Rotating Bins
- VIDEO: Dual-Batch Compost Tumbler
- Produce high quality compost quickly and efficiently
- Let one bin "cook" while you add fresh materials to the other side
- Two bins rotate separately; each bin holds approximately 3 cubic feet
Batch composting is the fastest and most efficient way to produce high quality compost, and this dual bin tumbler makes it easy. Fill one side with kitchen scraps and yard waste, then stop adding materials and let it "cook," turning it every few days to speed up the decomposition process. In the meantime, add new scraps to the other side. When the first batch of compost is finished, remove it and repeat the process, letting the other side cook.
- Recycled black polypropylene, steel
- 28-1/2" W x 25" D x 37-1/4" H overall
- Each bin holds approx. 3 cubic feet (22 dry gallons)
- Assembly required; easiest with 2 people

Comments about Dual-Batch Compost Tumbler:
My thirteen year old daughter assembled the composter with help from me in the last stage of lifting it onto the frame. Having said that, it took two tries for assembly. Half hour total. There are two left and two right legs. They look alike. Apparently they were marked "cc" and"dd" to distinguish. Putting a left and right on the same side yielded a composter that wouldn't turn. So she reassembled. Tumbles nicely now. Looking forward to transferring contents of our pile to the tumblers.

Comments about Dual-Batch Compost Tumbler:
This unit is much easier to use than the ones that sit on the ground. I've only had it a few weeks and it is composing pretty quickly. I do need to add water once in a while. There are drain holes in the bottom so I collect the excess water and use it for my plants they love it. I'm also able to add things I never composed before like paper and cardboard. Since it's easy to turn the items break down quickly. Having two buckets is great. I just started the second bucket. The first bucket should be done soon.
Pros
- So easy to use
Cons

Comments about Dual-Batch Compost Tumbler:
I have tried several approaches to composting and this is THE best ever! My husband and I are avid gardeners and he is not a compost fan but did assemble for me -even glued little screens to holes from the inside before we used. My ultimate skeptic though... All the reviews were most helpful. We've had it for two months and absolutely love it! Both of us use now - placed conveniently to kitchen for all my composting treasures and to his yard for pruned snips. As a nurse, I was concerned about foul odors but have not had that problem at all. Twirled daily by us as well as our grandchildren!! GREAT

Comments about Dual-Batch Compost Tumbler:
After reading the reviews, I decided to try this composter. Assembly is definitely a two-person job. It's only been up for about a week, so it's too early to tell how fast it works. I particularly like the fact that you can have one batch cooking and start the second batch separately.

Comments about Dual-Batch Compost Tumbler:
This is NOT a quality product. I found it confusing to put together and had to take it apart several times. It is still not right. I feel I have wasted my money with this product, and because I had to modify it, I can not return it. I will not be buying this again.

Comments about Dual-Batch Compost Tumbler:
Although I haven't harvested my first batch of compost yet this appears to be just what I wanted. Be sure to read the reviews before you put it together. It will be much easier. Remember that the base must be 28" wide to accomodate the two tumbling drums. The screen applied over the holes takes a few minutes but is worth it. I am a woman in my 60s and I put it together by myself so don't think it is too big or cumbersome for one person to do.
