Unless I turn it off for 2 days it doesn't charge. It will light for 1 evening, then nothing. Have tried relocating solar panel, but still does not adequately charge in 8 or so hours of sunlight.

These lights were another item on my recent Christmas (2009) wishlist from Gardener's Supply. Like the alliums, (which I ended up putting in an indoor pot), I didn't want to just put these in the garage til spring. I wondered if they would work in pots we had by a sunny window. Well they certainly did and like the alliums, the dragonfly lights may not make it outdoors either.

Great: enough line to space out the lights, easy assembly, quality seems to be good. Could be better: hieght adjustment, not so many colors.
I used this product around shrubs and fountains. Grouped too close together
they look like an air bombing raid. Differenciate hieght by putting some in planters.

The design of the dragonflies is lovely. However, when they are illuminated, the colors are horrible! I think of dragonflies as delicate and dainty, not harsh reds, blues and greens.

Charged for three days in the Texas sun, got about 2 hrs max night lights hasn't burned since.
