I set these up before leaving for 2 months. Our house sitters didn't need to worry about them unless we got torrential rains, and then, they were simple to shut off. And for all those who complained they leak, I haven't had so much as a drop wasted, however, when I installed them, I gave the threads a good coating of Teflon paste, the same stuff used by plumbers for installing screw on fittings.

This product is fantastic! I use it with soaker hoses to water my garden, and I have never had healthier plants. I don't have to think about turning the water on or off, it is done for me! Hardy and easy to use.

I bought this timer to make watering my vegetable garden easy and consistent. I water three times a day in the heat of summer in my raised bed for 1/2 hour intervals with a soaker hose. This gives me a consistent amount of moisture in the soil without much runoff. It has freed me up so that now the only work in my garden is picking my vegetables. Very easy to program, no leaking. I went out of town for a week and left my husband in charge of the garden. I didn't have to worry that everything would be fried when I got back. Works perfectly!

I use this product to flower tow large 20X12 ft. flower beds in the front of my house.I can go on vacation or away for the weekend without the worryof losing plants from drought.

I bought this timer in preparation for a 10-day vacation to water our vegetable garden. My husband is very apprehensive of leaving any water products turned on while we're gone because of a water pump malfunction that flooded our basement while we were on vacation a few years ago. However, after installing this timer and monitoring it for a couple weeks, he is convinced this is a great product and we can go on vacation without worrying about the garden.

I returned this timer. My tap is at an odd angle coming out of the ground and the timer could not be screwed on. If not for that I certainly would have kept it.

I have owned several of these timers, and thought I had finally found the perfect one. They seemed to be more reliable than most, but a few have failed when water got into the circuit boards, some just use up batteries quickly after a while, and one doesn't shut off all the way, wasting water and making a muddy mess.

I now have 3 digital water timers and couldn't be without them. They are easy to use. I can just set them and go away to do other things. We've had an unusually dry August here so I was doing a lot of watering - lawn and flower garden. I have other timers which broke down quickly but 1 of these timers has been running two summers without letup. That's why I ordered more.
