Comments about Deluxe Rain Barrels:
Unfortunately, since I live in AZ, didn't know about the leak until a month after delivery, once we had a couple days of rain... There a place inside that looks like it was designed for another spigot attachment - the pinhole leak occurred where the plastic is very thin. Fails at its main function!

Comments about Deluxe Rain Barrels:
This rain barrel is vastly improved from earlier versions. Much better hose connection. I'm sure it'l last for many years!

Comments about Deluxe Rain Barrels:
I planned to use this barrel as thermal ballast for my greenhouse. For the price, the plastic is way too thin! (This barrel cost 3 times a 55 gallon plastic drum,.2" thick, suited for hazardous materials). The plastic has a "cold shut" in the bottom, which leaks the contents in 1 week. The overflow is slipped in, and not sealed, so it can not be piped anywhere without leaking. The filter screen is way too coarse. Top opening will not allow a pump to be dropped in.

It is amazing how quickly the barrel gets full & how often we use it.

Comments about Deluxe Rain Barrels:
The capacity of this rain barrel to store water is great. Using the water in between showers helps my potted plants thrive...and the water is free!

Comments about Deluxe Rain Barrels:
This brown rain barrel looks so wonderful sitting next to our tan house, and it almost seems a shame to see how well it blends in to the naturescape. This barrel has such nice lines, is very sturdy and works so easily and simply. What a low-tech solution to help conserve water!

Comments about Deluxe Rain Barrels:
This is a great product...I only wish that we had more rain this summer...we have been in one of those heat dome areas. When I can afford it, I will get more of them.

Comments about Deluxe Rain Barrels:
For the price, I expected better design. At least a third of the water in the barrel cannot be accessed via the attached hose (which is way too short anyway). The barrel would need to be set on an elevated base, so that gravity could continue to do its job. Those bases should be sold with the barrel, at no extra charge, because the design makes it impossible to simply dip a bucket or watering can in there and get everything. So what happens to that inaccessible 30%? The hose does not attach firmly into the slit provided at the top rim; we had to create a hook to hold it in place, because otherwise it falls, and if it falls wrong, it drains the barrel. (Two-thirds of it, anyway.) The overflow hose comes loose every time it rains; we had to find a fix for that too. And we haven't even got to how well we can persuade the barrels to overwinter. I would never ever buy this product again.

Comments about Deluxe Rain Barrels:
Would be nice to have longer over flow hose to take water farther from the house. The threads on the hose connection with the valve could be done better, or replaced with brass fittings even better for the price paid.

Comments about Deluxe Rain Barrels:
This is an exellent product. The over flow tube which runs out the bottom could have a better connector, but aside from that, it's great. I use it for watering my plants, and this barrell sets amoung them at the bottom of one of my down spouts so I just water all the surrounding plants right there. It"s great, but as I said in my First statment. "I love this thing"
