Best Uses
This product is very easy to assemble and use. Its black color attracts heat from the sun to ensure compost remains hot. It has nice ventilation on the top and sides, and the flip-open lid stays up once opened. The bottom doors, from where one removes the finished compost, are a bit sticky and don't always stay up, but are not accessed often.
My husband and I don't turn the compost at all, but it still takes only about a year for material to rot down to a finished product. People who employ better composting practices than we do will get even faster results.
