Like a jumbo version of a child's pinwheel, this 74" tall kinetic sculpture turns in the slightest breeze. The two, flower-like blades spin in opposite directions to create a fascinating visual effect. An instant and dramatic focal point for your garden; just stake it into the ground and watch the wind bring it to life.

Comments about Dahlia Wind Spinner:
A significant amount of weight had to be added to balace the blades so that they would turn in low velocity wind.

Comments about Dahlia Wind Spinner:
The Dahlia Wind Spinner requires a very strong wind to spin, not a slight breeze as the description indicates. Even if it is mounted on a level platform, it does not begin to spin unless the wind is blowing at least 25 MPH. I have other wind spinners in my back yard that begin to spin with a 5 MPH wind. The good news is that it is fairly attractive and can be used as a back yard sculpture.

Comments about Dahlia Wind Spinner:
Here in Reno with many days of 20+mph winds I hope this will do great. Too cold & snowy for now.I'll wait till late spring and see. I love the size of it and the 4 prong base to set in ground is better than one item I have with only 1 stake. Price was great for the size compared to other iron works I have gotten at local craft events.

Comments about Dahlia Wind Spinner:
Total disappointment on arrival. [...] After doing our best to re-create the natural curves, we assembled the Dahlia only to find (1) the post screwed together at an angle so that it appears bent in the middle (2) the two 'spinners' are so terribly out of balance and heavy on one side that they will not spin unless forced by hand. Then they settle with a distinctive rocking back and forth until they stop at the heavy spot down position. Not worth the effort and time to return so it sits, stationary in the yard.

Comments about Dahlia Wind Spinner:
The directions to put together are not too clear. Most of all it does not seem to be balanced, so one side spins and the other doesn't. From what I have seen it takes a gale force wind to make it spin...even just the one side. For the price, which I consider pretty pricey, I would think the kinks would have been worked out of it. I was rather disappointed in its preformance.

I think the instructions could be a little easier if the print was larger.

Comments about Dahlia Wind Spinner:
nice attractive design but not well engineered to allow it to turn in the head wind so it will allow the blades to turn all the time. not sure how durable, just received it, after Christmas. Was a Christmas gift for my wife. Not designed to pivot 360 degrees to catch the wind to allow blades to turn.

Comments about Dahlia Wind Spinner:
Definefinity you get what you pay for. Does not turn in the wind as a higher end spinner I have of a similar design. Would not buy another.

The action of the vanes is quite spectacular.
We reinforced the post with rebar because we live in a very windy area.
