Growing your own gourmet mushrooms is a fun and rewarding family activity. With this easy-to-use kit, you can start harvesting mini portabellas (also known as crimini mushrooms) in three to five weeks, or let them continue to grow and they'll reach 3" to 5" across. You'll get several crops over an 8- to 12-week period. The first two or three crops are large, often filling the box with mushrooms; subsequent crops get smaller until the mushrooms finally stop. Please start growing within 2 weeks of arrival.
- Compost, mushroom mycelium, peat moss
- Box is 12" L x 10" W x 9" H
- Mushrooms grow best indoors at 63 to 68 degrees F out of direct sun

Got this for ourselves and my daughter, no shrooms from either kit. Company replaced with no problems, the second time my daughter got 1 shroom and we got none! We both followed directions exactly. Both times, kits came directly from delivery truck into the house so no sitting outside.
This is our third season of our annual shroom contest (buttons and bellas before) and good results every other kit.

An unusual, fun gift!
the fist kit 3 shrooms then i got another after complaining to customer service, that kit had one rush of 12 mushrooms most expensive mushrooms I ever ate. I had from a different company and the kit had 4 rushes of 20-30.

Gave this as a Christmas gift to my husband. He followed directions and is very disappointed.
It has been one month now and still has not produced any mushrooms. I would not recommend this kit to anyone.
I purchased this as a gift for our son and daughter-in-law. Both love mushrooms and our son loves gardening. They loved it!
Bought this as a gift for my dad - he just started the process, so we haven't seen mushrooms yet - but this was a great gift idea!
Followed directions word for word and no mushrooms. Very disappointed. Will never buy from this company again.
