Comments about Courting Rope Candle:
I think it's a lovely decoration, but if you actually want to BURN it, you'll be disappointed. You can only burn it 1-inch at a time, then you have to be there to extinguish it at exactly the right moment (or it will melt and seal itself shut), then wait for it to fully cool so you can re-position it to burn another inch. Very irritating - I don't want to work that hard to burn a candle.

Comments about Courting Rope Candle:
Be careful not to burn the candle until it self extinguishes; the melted wax can seal the collar pieces! We had to use a wrench to pull the collar out so we could raise the candle for reuse.

Comments about Courting Rope Candle:
I thought the design was different and NEAT. When it came was delighted that I had made the purchase. So delighted as a matter of fact I ordered more for gifts.
This kind of candle will fit perfectly into my son and daughter-in-law's log cabin home in Michigan.

Comments about Courting Rope Candle:
My son had been looking at this item or ones similar to it for a couple of years and thought it neat that the candle would go out on it's own. When I saw it on sale I got it for him and a set of refils. It goes nicely with his wood stove and country lifestyle.

Comments about Courting Rope Candle:
For the money, I expected 100% quality craftmanship. I kept them, hoping to repair their flaws; wax not lined up, center stake bent to the side and overall quality not there. Made in Vietnam and the packaging had an offensive odor.
