These Cortina planters have highly realistic finishes that mimic ceramic pottery, but they’re made of lightweight polypropylene so they’re easier to move. Hidden inside is a 1-gallon reservoir, water-level indicator and an easy-fill funnel to keep plants lush and healthy all summer long.

I live on dry plains and it is so appreciated to have a planter that does not demand water daily! The 20" (large) planter is decorative and the plants thrive because the bottom reservoir provides a consistent source of water.

Comments about Cortina Planters, 20":
Very attractive and sturdy. The self watering mechanism does not seem to work very well, however. I have used other self watering containers and they provide a means to wick water out of the botton up to where the soil is. These do not, so I added some strips of heavy duty woven webbing to go across the platform that supports the earth and then dangle into the water below. I also drilled a hole in the side at the top of the water reservoir so that it would not become mud in a rain storm, as I have them outside on a patio. Even with that, the water below does not seem to drop very rapidly, so I am watering from above rather than into the tube. They do provide a stick for measuring how much water is in the reservoir. A diagram shows plants poking roots down into the reservoir, but it takes quite a while for plants to grow that big, and some plants never do put roots down that far. When trying to decide on size, they are smaller than you expect because they measure from the outside of a very wide lip, so subtract several inches when calculating the inside space.

This is a good size and looks nicer than I expected. Good buy!

These pots could be thicker to protect the roots from the
hot southwest sun.

Hard to find lightweight pots in royal blue right now. I appreciate you continuing to carry the classics so I could group pots of similar design & color on my patio. Makes a great visual statement.

Nicely designed. Have not had difficulty keeping plants watered evenly. Attractive color that shows no sign of fading at this time.

Reallly beautiful pot for my giant indoor house plant! ---But, the fill tube was easily two inches too short--perhaps it was a one size fits all but fit better on the smaller pots. I bought a plastic florescent light tube cover which I cut off and glued to the top of the original fill tube and placed the lid on that. ---Seems to work quite well now.

I found the pot easy to assemble. I like the look of the pot and I like the water reserve.
