These Cortina planters have highly realistic finishes that mimic ceramic pottery, but they’re made of lightweight polypropylene so they’re easier to move. Hidden inside is a 1-gallon reservoir, water-level indicator and an easy-fill funnel to keep plants lush and healthy all summer long.

This product is great for vegetable growing. We have 5 of them spaced around our pool. We grow 3 different kinds of tomatoes, bell peppers, and basil. The pots are very attractive around the pool and they are easy to move when a hurricane comes! The plants do well year around in the Houston area. It is November and I am still harvesting 15-20 cherry tomatoes daily!

I like to move my plants around on my deck, when I'm having a family get together. These planters are easy to move and my roses love them.

I purchased the same planter in '08 in an aqua color, which isn't available this year. Ordered same planter in "moss" this year, and was disappointed to see that it lacks the glossy finish my '08 purchase has. Moss looks cheap, does not look like pottery. Glossy finish looks $$ and stays cleaner. Unfortunately, product description lacks detail about gloss finish vs. none in some colors.

I have two of these planters outdoors, love them, planted annuals late in the season in No. Wisc. and they are flourishing. Not sure how they will withstand the winter.

I was having problems getting my clematis to thrive because my pots were too small and thin-walled. The roots would heat up and the foliage would turn brown and die. Since I have re-potted my clematis into these pots they are thriving, in spite of the fact that it is much hotter now than earlier this summer when I was having problems.

The container and accompanying saucer are very attractive in design and color. It is lightweight as advertised - which makes it easy to use. I have a gardenia plant I planned to transplant into my new pot, and have, but the pot is shorter than I thought it would be, so it is not the perfect fit I thought it would be. I would suggest on product description, you mention the dimensions of the container. However, I am very satisfied with the product and will definitely purchase from Gardener's Supply again.
