Comments about Copper Finish Compost Pail:
After about 9 months to a year, I noticed tiny pinholes appearing in the bottom of the pail. I found these after it started leaking all over my counter, even while I was using the compost bags. I would not use this for long term.

Comments about Copper Finish Compost Pail:
I love the look of this pail, but it is too large to put in my sink, which is where I would normally keep it. It is nice to have the handle to carry up to my garden, which is where my composter is, and beautiful to look at.

Comments about Copper Finish Compost Pail:
After only a couple of weeks of use, rust spots have appeared on the inside of the bucket. The copper plating is incomplete on the interior. The bucket is supposed to be stainless steel beneath the plating but it is rusting after minimal use.

Comments about Copper Finish Compost Pail:
We add compost every day. Our last container was small and breakable. Now we can add compost for several days, it does not stink, and it looks great. AND it does not break if you drop it. We should have purchased this one a long time ago.

Comments about Copper Finish Compost Pail:
Beautiful and great capacity. Unfortunately, after a little more than a year, the use for kitchen scraps ate holes in the base. Very disappointed to lose it's use and my money.

Comments about Copper Finish Compost Pail:
I have just filled my first bio bag with compostable items from the kitchen. There was no odor and it is an attractive item.

Comments about Copper Finish Compost Pail:
Claimed to be dishwasher safe, but the finish pocked and the bottom developed a hole.
Still so pretty we bought a replacement, but will hand wash from now on!

Comments about Copper Finish Compost Pail:
This is the first kitchen pail we purchased. With in weeks, the lining on the inside bottom began to peel away. Each time I washed it, more would come off. I washed the entire bottom lining out within a month. Then the bottom corroded and the compost leaked onto the counter. The corrosion formed a tiny hole right through the seemingly thick base! We thought this pail would not need a liner, and the description did not recommend one. We are now searching for our 3rd pail. The second pail was galvanized and the handle fell off. Our next one will be ceramic!
