I have been experimenting with a number of the Gardener's Supply offerings. I have 2 raised bed veggie gardens and used this is one of them only. My tomatoes and the marigolds planted with them took off like a shot and outgrew the tomatoes in the other bed, containers and garden. (By the way, I had used the tomato food from GS in all of them)

I put the bag in the garden, cut the front off, and grow greens right in the bag. Works beautifully.

From my observations of using the plain Germinating Mix in one Self-Watering Tray compared to another tray using this Organic Mix it seems that this one promotes mold growth when used with the self-watering mat. I haven't seen dampening off in my seedlings yet but there are still some weeks to go before I can plant outside in Chicago.

I use this product for my potted plants and vegitables on my appartment deck the organic container mix is of high quality mulch bark and other plant life I would highly reccomend this product everytime
