Comments about Container Mix, 20 Qts.:
I use this lightweight soil in my upside-down tomato planters. The problem here is it doesn't soak up and hold enough water so I have to water more often here in southern California. It is wonderful in the vegetable garden - this year I added it to existing soil in my raised beds, which made them easier to work and plant. I use it for my potato and garlic bags, too. Funny enough it doesn't seem to work at all well in my self-watering planters.
Pros
- Holding Capacity
- Lightweight
Cons
- Flimsy
- Grows Mold/Mildew
Best Uses
- Outdoor Plants
Comments about Container Mix, 20 Qts.:
I would use it because it was cheaper and the shipping charges was less. I will be using it for the hot and sweet peppers. I will have to add some sand because it is alot of spagnum peat moss which makes it very filmsy and very wet; sand for drainage and circulation to the peppers.
