Pros
- Easy Assembly
Cons
Best Uses
- Leaves & Brush
Comments about Rodent Screen:
perfect for breaking down all those falling leaves. I used to bag about 70 bags for the dump each year but this has helped me reduce that load greatly. Since I have a lot of trees in my back yard I was worried about the vermin but haven't had any issue. Of course, if i could remember to close the lid all the time those silly squirrels wouldn't be able to bury their peanuts.
Pros
- Easy Assembly
- Easy to install
- Good Quality Materials
Cons
- Not A Tight Fit
Best Uses
- Stop Mice From Entering
Comments about Rodent Screen:
This is a good addition to the Pyramid composter. I would have given it 5 stars except that it is a bit too small for a snug fit and I had to use duct tape to keep it in place.
Pros
- Does the Job
- Easy Assembly
Cons
- Doesn't fit well
Best Uses
- Kitchen Scraps
- Leaves & Brush
Comments about Rodent Screen:
The rodent screen does the job it's intended to do, but the fit isn't the best. I laid it on the ground and sat the composter on top of it making the composter a bit wobbly. I think there must be a way to make this so it fits quite well. Either way, it works and wasn't too expensive. I still recommend it to keep the bottom dwelling critters out of the compost!

Comments about Rodent Screen:
Having read the past reviews--I thought "Oh, they just have to be installing it incorrectly." But no, I received mine and the fit is downright strange. Technically, it does cover the open space in the bottom of the composter, but it does not appear to be well designed for that purpose. It just kind of sits in the space--not snug, not tight, not well.
The screen is well made and uses great materials--but the basic fit of it leads to some pause.
I only recommend because it is probably better and more effective than trying to create one on your own. But this is far form a ringing endorsement.
Pros
- Very solid
Cons
- Could be a bit larger
- Slightly small
Best Uses
- Keeping out rodents
Comments about Rodent Screen:
Nice and sturdy/solid. However, the fit is rather loose. Could be a smidge bigger. Thought [$] was a bit much for just a screen, even though it is a heavy solid item.

Comments about Rodent Screen:
This rodent screen supposedly fit the composter I bought, but I had to tape it in place to keep from having big gaps that rodents could have squeezed through.
