  • Simple, effective and easy to use
  • Padded handles provide comfort and leverage

  • Durable steel construction
  • For left- or right-handed use
  • Minor assembly required
  • Allen wrench included

Might be the best but . . .

            Comments about Compost Aerator:

Perhaps it is my technique, or that the materials added to my pile are not chopped small enough, but I have reverted to using my garden fork to turn my pile. When I use this tool it goes in well enough and the prongs open if one side or the other does not encounter any woody-type debris to keep it folded. Then pulling it out is fine BUT then I have to remove anything caught that prevents the prongs from folding in order to insert it in the pile again. This is all lost time and the fork works for me. A waste of a Christmas present request.

                Comments about Compost Aerator:

I really needed a simple pitchfork. My compost pile is literally a pile and is too small and uncontained for the aerator to be efficient. A light weight pitchfork would have been a better purchase for me.

                    Comments about Compost Aerator:

This is a great product idea. I finally figured out the best way to use it is to turn it into the pile instead of poking it in. Also, it does not get to the very bottom of the compost pile due to the height of the bottom blades. Still need my pitchfork to get to the bottom. It's compact to store and feel it is doing a great job.

The handle just doesn't hold up. I've had it replaced numerous times. The people at Gardener's have been just lovely about doing this.

                      Comments about Compost Aerator:

My adult son took a 3-week class on composting (I didn't know there could possibly be that much to learn about it!). Among the items he requested for his birthday was an aerator. I searched locally as well as on-line, and this one struck me as the very best. He is delighted with it. Thank you also for the prompt service. It arrived just in time.

Try to wash the aerator after each use and keep the blades lubricated.
