Buy together and save! This set includes the Compact VegTrug Patio Garden, the Compact VegTrug Frame & Greenhouse Cover and the Compact VegTrug Insect Cover.
The Compact VegTrug Patio Garden lets you garden at an easy working height; no bending or kneeling to plant, tend and harvest. The compact size is ideal for smaller spaces, and the elevated bed means no weeds and fewer pests, too. The V-shape makes efficient use of space and planting mix — grow deep-rooted plants like tomatoes in the center, shallow-rooted crops along the edges. Includes a fitted fabric liner to keep soil contained while letting excess water drain. Plastic feet protect wood from wet surfaces. Easy assembly.
The Compact VegTrug Set includes the Compact Vegtrug Frame & Greenhouse Cover. You can start planting earlier in spring and extend the growing season later into fall for an even bigger harvest. The easy-to-install, 21"-high steel frame installs in minutes with convenient push-fit connectors, and the reinforced polyethylene greenhouse cover has heavy-duty stitching and zippers. The cover slips snugly over the frame and attaches with strong VELCRO® brand tabs. Zips open for ventilation and easy access to crops.
The set also includes the polyethylene micro-mesh Compact VegTrug Insect Cover to protect plants from insects, birds, harsh winds and hungry deer. To install, simply remove the greenhouse cover from the frame, and then install the insect cover in its place. Attaches with strong VELCRO® brand tabs. Zips open for ventilation and easy access to crops.

We'll enjoy using the compact garden - its height makes it easy to reach everything and should keep the crawling insects away. The frame for the cover and insect net was easy to assemble and install. Our tomato plants are already putting out some blossoms, so they seem to like their new location!

Really like it. Painted it to match the deck. Also, rather than hanging liner over the outside, secured the liner to the interior with wood trim and staple gun. Cut off excess liner. Nice and nest.

Since I wanted to be able to move it easily, I added sturdy casters to the legs. I'd recommend that for anyone who may have issues with sun exposure, either too much or too little. I can move it to catch morning sun or to avoid afternoon heat, a real factor down here in Texas.
Pros
- Ample Growing Space
- Frost Insect Protection
- Well Designed
- Wheel-chair Accessible
Cons
- Needs A Helper To Build
- Needs Extra Tie-downs
Best Uses
- Kitchen Garden
- Patio Garden
This is a well thought out product for folks with limited growing space; to be used for vegetables and herbs, as a patio or kitchen garden. I like the frost and insect covers, giving the grower added spring or extended fall growing time. The only addition would be to have better tie-down features, i.e. gromets on the covers and eyelets on the trug w/ zip ties for added security, especially in our climate, with the WY winds!
My husband is in love with his VegTrugs. Yes, we have three! This product is built to last and it's amazing how much you can grow in the compact size VegTrug. We recommend that you purchase or borrow an electric screwdriver before trying to assemble a VegTrug.

Cons
- Covers
Best Uses
love the product. Just what we were looking for. Used the organic energized potting soil, and our plants are doing great, can't wait for veggies to grow! One downfall, the covers, while great, do allow bugs in. There is no way to attach to vegtrug except metal. If attached to wood somehow, could be better. Not sure if some sort of velcro would work, but buying the netting to keep bugs out--is a great idea, but bugs do get in from under.
