We splurged on this product, bought the whole kit as our veggie garden seems to be a good one and worth this cost.
Took two of use two hours together to put together, and we're mechanical. Quality is top-notch. Lightweight-will go to the attic after this Spring!
I have NEVER grown seedlings that look as steroidal as with this kit! Mine have always been light-starved, and hard to water no matter what type of pot. I used the cow pots last year and will ONLY use them now. The potting soil is fantastic - if I were choosing the items for the kit, they would be the same.
The whole system needs directions for reference as you go along in the growth. Lower tier gets too moldy and the plants do not do as well as the upper ones (they get sunlight as well). Humidity is a problem at first-if there was a fitted cover for the whole thing it would work well.
My heirloom veggie, herb and flower seeds, which should have taken three days or more to germinate, only took TWO days. You should see them now-fat, dark green, straight. The lights are pleasing to humans, too-right light spectrum. Keep those lights ON!
Using this kit for one season, it gives surprisingly positive results, and I wish I had sprung for the 3-tier. I added one thing-heating pads, and as I do not have central heat, feel this this was very wise.

The frame is excellent, though I wish the casters could be secured instead of falling off every time I move it. The hoods are really shoddy, especially the hook for the chain and the brackets that are supposed to hold the light fixtures.
I wanted very much to like this item, because I like purchasing American-made products. The design is great and this could easily be made into an excellent product with a little more interest in quality construction.

Well, so far this is one of the best things you ever put on sale! As for the Grow Camp, that is a piece of junk! This product is easy to set up. The lights are really bright. Have to see where I can buy replacement lights. But this product is very pricie just like the Grow Camp.

It is hard to get the lights to hand evenly. Plus, the power strip buzzes loudly; not sure if it is defective or if this is how it works - but it would cost to much in shipping to replace.

This is a great product, but it has a major problem! There are major flaws in how it is designed and to put it together you need to drill more holes for the screws that hold it together! I am assuming that no one checked this out before putting these kits together. It is impossible to follow the directions as the directions ask you to connect 2 parts with a long screw, then connect to another part in the exact place you have already placed a long screw. My husband was able to drill some addtional screw holes in the metal sides so that I could assemble the bottom tray. Someone at Gardeners Supply needs to take a look at this now and make some changes so that this can be assembled with less complications! The only reason I gave this 2 stars is that it is a good idea and with modifications I was able to make it work! Quality control is everything!
