Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
Delivery time was longer than expected but my concern was handled promptly and professionally. The trees were packaged very well. They arrived while I was away from home and had to stay in the original package for a week. I thought they would be dead when i got back but they were in amazingly good shape. Good soil, a long drink of water, and a sunny spot - they are thriving.

Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
We planted our columnar apple trees a few days after they arrived. We can't believe how fast the trees are growing and we have some blossoms. The trees look great. We may not get fruit this season but we're onfident for next year. We made a good choice and good purchase.

Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
I potted these apple trees when they arrived about six weeks ago. Both have a full crown of leaves and more peeking out along the lower trunk. No blossoms yet but overall I am pleased with the appearance and size, they are perfect for our deck. I was also pleasantly surprised by how quickly they "sprang to life." I am holding back the fifth star until I see blossoms!

Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
I bought three sets last fall for Christmas presents for my mom and step-mom, and one pair for myself.
Ours all grew at different rates. My mom's seemed to be about 2 weeks ahead of mine, and my step-mom's about 2 weeks behind.
We had a mild winter in Kansas, but I still moved them into the garage and back outside several times. They started flowering this spring, and several small apples began growing on my trees and my mom's.
Now all the apples are gone. I don't see any apples on the ground, so I don't think it was due to a thunderstorm. I thought maybe squirrels, birds, or raccoons snatched them, but I never saw any critters around the trees. All of my mom's apples are gone, too.
My step-mom's trees have not produced any fruit yet, and she just told me last week that one of the trees is dead, but they were planted, watered, and moved the same way all winter and spring.
I actually have one apple left on one of the trees (I started with 12-15). Maybe I should put cages around them and see if this last apple survives.

Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
My columnar apple trees arrived in wonderful shape. They were actually in pots and not bare root, so they survived the shipping process very well. They were very healthy trees and had been packed very carefully. I can't wait to see what they do nest year.

Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
Based on previous reviews, we were so excited to plant these. They arrived looking extremely healthy and we followed the planting instructions. One the trees took off with healthy bud growth and lush leaves, the other one did nothing. We watched and waited for the other apple tree to do something, but on further inspection we noticed that it was just a dead stick. The other apple tree with leaves was suddenly attacked by pests that ate all of the leaves, despite the pesticide that we sprayed on them. I guess I'll just go to a home improvement store and buy a cheaper bigger apple tree.

Comments about Columnar Apples, 2 Trees:
So far , they have lost their leaves as expected. I have them in medium pots, not sure when or if I'll need to move them to larger pots. They are sitting outside in my 10 sq. ft. bark covered area now. They will get rain this winter, but if it is dry for a long time, should I water them? If I need to move them, I have a dolly, but will have to go up about 10 steps to my deck, for they may be too heavy for me to carry. Any suggestions on pot size per plant height?
