Just received them but previous self-watering pots I've used outdoors have been marvelous. I expect these to be the same. Once I actually have experience I will then upgrade to a 5 which is probably where they ought to be ranked. I am buying more!

This is an attractive, reasonable-priced (on sale) self-watering pot. The matte finish is not too "plastic" looking, and the color is lovely. It seems quite sturdy and will probably last a long time. The only reason I don't give it the full five stars is that the hole for adding water to the reservoir is an oblong shape instead of round, making it sometimes difficult to fit the pliable plastic cover back on unless you position it just right. It appears that it would have been easier if the hole and cover were round.

I ordered half a dozen for container gardening on my deck, and liked them so much I ordered another half dozen. The pots are light and easy to move around, hold lots of water, and are perfect for the tropicals I grow to make the long Illinois winters bearable. My plants grow well in them; I wish they were also available in a larger size.

I love using primary colors in my cottage style house and garden. These pots fit the bill by adding splashes of color even when you are using evergreens or mostly green plants. I love the way the saucer is made to catch and maintain the moisture inside the pot. This works well for our hot and sometimes dry summers in Tennessee.

I also added strips of a wicking material with the bottom in the well and the tops coming up the sides of the planter. I put mums in the pots and sat them on my front steps to brighten up my otherwise dull front porch. They work wonderfully and look great.
