Who says raised beds should blend into the landscape? These are meant to be seen! The bright periwinkle blue color looks great planted with vegetables, herbs or flowers and provides a year-round splash of color that’s especially welcome during the drab days of winter. Raised beds are the most productive way to garden, and this Grow Bed makes it easy. The interlocking corners snap together in an instant and the rigid sides hold soil without bulging. We made them a generous 10" deep so they’re suitable for all crops, including root crops like potatoes and carrots.

    Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

At first I thought the price was a bit much (I bought both a large and a small one with the liners as well), but when it was put together and used, I found I am actually saving money. No more tossing dirt out of pots every year or battling weeds (as I did with a regular garden). I use the same soil every year, just rotate where the tomatoes are planted and add fertilizer when needed.

I ordered this for my grandchildren's corner in my backyard. It is very easy to set up and looks very cute. They enjoyed planting the seeds and checking on their progress.

      Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

We chose this raised bed to help address an erosion issue. so far it looks great and seems to rectify the water problem. My primary concern is that the bed may not handle the heat of the deep South. I hope it will be fine.

I started out with the 3'x3' and liked it so much I'm now going with the larger size. My original has held up through 2 years with no sign of wear. I also use the bed liner. Adds a nice splash of color to my veggie garden.

This grow bed will be perfect for planting my bulbs this fall. The color is a gorgeous bright blue. I was able to assemble in 5 minutes and disassemble in 2. Definitely get the grow bed liner as well!

              Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

I put 3 of these in in the spring and they are great! I just bought another. I've xericscaped the rest of my CO frontrange yard, so they are an excellent pop of color in an otherwise grey stone yard (local river rock mostly). The garden is doing fantastic, and I'm harvesting more from it that I could have ever expected. This is the first garden I've had that wasn't a balcony container garden. They are super easy to put together, they don't leach chemicals like treated lumber, and despite the intense sun here, they haven't faded a bit. Plus, I think the ease of putting them together, the color, and the time they saved me trying to get lumber home in my small car and putting together my own raised beds made them worth the price.

                Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

First of all, my cons apply only to the 6x3 bed. You need a drill, it is clumsy to assemble and then has flimsy sides. Don't waste your money since the 6x3 bed is simply a 3x3 bed missing one side and with an inadequate extension kit. Looks very makeshift, amateurish and crooked assembled even with rebar reinforcing rods.
On the other hand, love the 3x3 beds. Simple to assemble, attractive, pretty sturdy. I live in N. AZ at 7000 feet with terrible UV and they have faded slightly after about a month and sides have warped a bit but still love them and highly recommend the 3x3 beds.

                  Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

We got a periwinkle grow bed 3 years ago for a sandbox for my nephew. We wanted something with a little more depth & space than the 'turtles' at the toy store. It has been wonderful and stood up well to being out year-round in New England.

We lined it with landscape cloth, and when it's not in use we cover it with landscape cloth held down at the edges with bricks. This keeps out neighborhood critters who might want a litter box, as well as leaves, grass clippings, etc that might fall in. It also lets some rain in to keep the sand from being too dry.

If I needed a grow bed for plants I would definitely get one, but for now this is doing a great job growing an imagination and maybe some engineering skills!
