I am youngish (39) strong and capable. I've used a lot of hoses in varying cost and quality. I bought this in purple 3 years ago and have disliked it every year. It is heavy for its size, but not unbearable, and very "sticky" and rubbery. It seems to always land on and mutilate my plants. Think "rip to shreds". It does kink. Quite a bit actually. The purple color was attractive for the first year. By year two it started to brown out a little though it is not kept in the sun. The metal connections are high quality and it is lasting, almost to my dismay. I would love for gardeners supply to call me up and ask to exchange it for one of their lightweight hoses. I haven't tried one of those and I think I'd like them better as this is my least favorite hose to pull out each spring. I would never, ever, buy one of these again.

Hoses are a necessary presence in the garden. Who says they have to be that ugly shade of green that occurs nowhere in nature? Make your hose a fashion accessory in your garden! Now if interesting hose pots were more available.

I bought the orange colored hose several months ago and have been using it attached to rain barrels. Like some reviews say, the hose is certainly heavier than other hoses I've used but it's not so heavy that I can't recommend it. The hose is definitely kink *resistant* but not kink-proof. I have had the hose kink a couple of times but no where near the number of times I've had problems with a regular hose.

I like this hose well enough that I decided to order 2 more (red and purple) since I have multiple rain barrels and more hoses will allow me to water my raised bed simultaneously.

Bought these originally because of their color. Realize now they are extremely good quality. I bought some cheaper hoses recently and am kicking myself now. Buying two more of these!

I like everything about the hose except its such tough rubber it gets caught on hose guide,railing etc. and hard to uncoil.

I love these hoses. This is my third one. I have them at all corners of the house and garden.

Light weight and they don't twist and kink. Love the colors and they last for years.

When the hose is in a nice neat round pile, and you go to pull it out for watering, every rotation of the hose kinks up. I spent a lot of time straightening out each curl in the hose to use it. I was disappointed.

I use this hose to water some of my flowerbeds and areas of the lawn not reached by sprinklers. The hose seems very durable and will hopefully last many years. I really love the bright, brilliant colors! The only negative with this hose is that it seems to have a memory and wants to remain in its original coiled position. When stretching the hose out of that position it will occasionally kink. But all hoses occasionally kink so it doesn't really bother me too much.
