I use this product in my worm factory, and they are producing rich Gardeners Gold quite rapidly. This factory was not bought from Gardeners Supply and inadequate instructions were sent with it.I new nothing about the coir bricks and I think they are an important part of the reason that it is working so well now and the worms appear happy.

I use these as part of my own "mix". I live in a desert type area and must have products that save water successfully as well as keep my plants healthy. These do the trick on all fronts! This is the best price I have found on these as well.

Coir mixed with shredded newspaper makes great bedding for worms which in turn eat my garbage.

I use this as an alternative to peat moss(which i read takes like a thousand years to grow). I have self watering containers, I can't find any organic mixes here in houston tx aside from the miracle grow, which is very dense. So I use this to lighten up the mix. So far my plants are doing well. My son loves to watch it grow.

I read the reviews all referring to worm beds, potting soil and compost. I needed something for my garden paths in a perrenial garden that are very sloped. Bark mulch was out. Too many slugs already. Peat moss would wash away and blow away. Knowing what coconut fibers look like on the real thing I chanced it. Soaked the bricks with recommended water in my 5+ gal bucket,followed directions. Spread it on my sloping garden paths with a hand held three prong about the depth of the sprongs but fluffy. Pressed it wearing my good old fashion sneakers. It stays in rain and wind. Doesn't splash or run or blow away. I bought more for my garden near basement windows that used to get splashed with dirt when it rained. No longer a problem. When first put down it does look redder than brown but that changes with weather noticibly in 4-6 weeks.
