I tried to return the product, but return costs made FEDXing it back cost prohibitive. $80-$90 cost of return shipping. Now I am stuck with a costly product I don't want.

These rings are easy to install (if you don't count stripping the sod away). Ground staples are a must to keep them in place. Unfortunately, grass/weeds will grow up thru the mats in a short amount of time. I, personally, have better luck with mulch.

This product was of horrible quality compared to the same type of product at local home improvement stores. They are so light weight that they are flimsy. I wish I wouldn't have wasted money on these and it was too much of a cost and inconvenience to send them back.

My free range chickens killed two recently planted shrubs. They pulled them completely out of the fresh dug earth and even pecked the roots. I thought that these coco tree ring mats would provide the needed protection for my new plantings. The chickens have scratched around the 2 foot rings, but can't get to the base of the shrub, and my expensive plants are now safe.

color faded within 2 weeks of placing this ring under the tree. i am not sure how long this material will last in the sun. does not look as attractive as pile of muclh.
